First season show programme unveiled at Neeld Community and Arts centre

We’re excited to be launching our first season this weekend with the fabulous Showstopper! The improvised Musical on Friday. A comedy is created from scratch at every single performance of this award-winning show through a feat of improvisation. Each night, audience suggestions are transformed into an all-singing, all-dancing production, always with unpredictable and hilarious results!

show programmeIt’s followed by leading Irish musicians Mark Geary and Grainne Hunt the following night, Feb 13. Dublin-native Mark Geary is a celebrated musician and song writer who began his career more than 20 years ago building a reputation as one of the finest song-smiths of his generation.

We’re opening our doors for a special community afternoon on Sunday Feb 14 between 2pm and 4.30pm when you can come and see what the venue has to offer. There will be live music, comedy, children’s craft activities and the official opening at 2.30pm by Mayor David Powell.

Cllr Powell said: “Come and enjoy some free entertainment, have a look around and be part of this wonderful new venue in the heart of Chippenham. This is your Neeld community and arts centre, it’s bringing a new vibrancy to our town, we hope you will come and have a look around.”

An exciting line-up of live music, comedy, children’s shows and drama has been programmed for the new Neeld which underwent a £705,000 refurbishment last year to create a high calibre community and arts centre for the town.
