Chippenham Sci Fi event on Sat 17th Sept. 2016 at the Neeld
After a fantastic first event last October Chippenham Sci-Fi Convention will be back in 2016 – but this time much bigger and better! Once again the main event is focused in the Neeld Community Arts Centre and Town Hall. This has undergone a huge investment in the last 18 months. The superb facilities are now the premier venue in the area.
As always proceeds will be going to Charity and it promises to be another great event. So, if you want to meet some amazing celebrities, buy some great gifts, have a trader table or come in costume as a performer or group then please get in touch. We’d love you to be part of it.
Three stars from Doctor Who will be joining us for this event. Colin Baker, the 6th Doctor after taking over from Peter Davison, Nicola Bryant who played Peri in the 1980’s and Ian McNeice who appeared in 2010.
If your interest is in Star Wars then you’ll be delighted to hear that Jeremy Bulloch, who appeared in 4 of the films as Boba Fett will be joining us. Pam Rose will also be here – she has also appeared in Batman and Superman.
It’s not just the guest appearances that attract the crowds. We have displays from replica cars that have appeared in movies, special costume guests who will be appearing in Planet of the Apes, Star Wars and many other costumes.
We have the UK’s biggest collection from the Terminator films, a Tardis photo booth and many fantastic props that were used in Star Wars and Dr Who.
There will also be plenty of stalls selling sci-fi related products for all tastes. Nathan from Science Fiction Artwork will be attending who is an accomplished artist specialising in Sci-Fi artwork. Advance Comix specialise in games and comics, and The Futures Market sells Sci-Fi and cult collectables with an emphasis on Dr Who.
