Who are the Nathan Jones Allstars Big Band?
The Nathan Jones Allstars Big Band are a 20 piece big band based in Swindon. The band consists of four trumpets, four trombones, five saxophones, one bass, one drum kit, one piano, one guitar and male & female vocalists. The band performs at parties, weddings, festivals, corporate events and theatres. Previous clients include the Ministry of Defence, Oak Furnitureland and Vodafone UK.
The band plays the great music from the 1930’s onwards from amazing artists and bandleaders such as Frank Sinatra, Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Shirley Bassey and modern classics from the likes of Michael Buble and Caro Emerald.
How long have the band been playing together?
We have been playing together since 2010.
Why have you decided to include Sinatra hits in this concert?
The idea behind The Sinatra Spectacular Concert is to celebrate the music of Frank Sinatra in what would have been his centenary year. We play a lot of Sinatra tracks anyways so we thought we would put them into a show.
What can audiences expect from the performance next month?
Audiences can expect a top quality night of Big Band entertainment featuring the classic hits they know and love from the legend that was and is; Frank Sinatra, these hits include, Fly me to the Moon, Come Fly with Me, Witchcraft, My Way and Mack the Knife to name a few.
